I'm looking into buying a used car but I'm a newbie with the process so I have a few questions.
1.how is BCAA's presale inspection check compared to going to a mechanic or dealership - please compare cost and quality of the check up?
2.what other things should I look into...carfax, carproof, autocheck?
    3. does the seller or buyer pay for the inspection and carfax?

lastly, do I need the inspection if I'm buying a used car from the dealership?

Me too? How precisely can they inspect a vehicle? My concern is with an Audi quattro...timing belt...valve gaskets...etc...the items regularly needing service. How can they check those things onsite?
