Yes im dating myself here but this was one of my books as a child. What did i learn from it? I learned that despite life's outward appearanc of normalcy and security, Max's homelife, that there is another darker more mysterious, forboding aspect of life. So i never really trusted 'outward appearances' and that has served me well......but i would have liked to have been innocent, at least for a little while.

Plus those big googly eyed monsters did scare me a bit. Did that 'dont let banking make you scary' add pay Sendac i wonder......
