Woman dead after being run over by a bus near Main Street Skytrain Station

RIP

Happened just before 5 pm yesterday (Wednesday, September 19, 2012) on the NE corner of the Main Street and Terminal Avenue. Reportedly a 43 year old Asian woman carrying groceries. Her head was caught under the wheel of a Translink articulated trolley bus (#3 or #8 Downtown). Terrifying ! The bus driver might have run a red but it's unclear at this point. Some people are reporting that the traffic light was green when the bus entered the intersection.

Police are looking for witnesses to call 604-717-3012. Apparently there were many witnesses on the scene that just left without talking to the police.
