The Community Shuttle Operator Trainee posting appears to have ended/come down....

There is still an INTERNAL (Existing employees only can apply) Job Posting for Conventional Operator Trainee...

There are many other job postings up now, including 2 or 3 new ones over at TransLink...

Sorry Ricky, I didn't notice your question until now...

Each depot does have employee parking, as well as changing areas, lockers, showers, fitness centre/gym, and an eating room with microwaves and usually vending machines as well...

There are 6 depots in the system (PLUS Oakridge- Community Shuttle): Vancouver- Marpole, Burnaby, North Vancouver, Port Coquitlam, Surrey & Richmond...

Plans to open a new depot in East Richmond- Hamilton in 2 years, to finally replace Oakridge & North Van...

I believe that the Maintenance Department is "based" out of Burnaby, and has yearly shift sign ups... But you could be working out of any, or all of the depots until you pick "your" shift...

The Training Department- to get your class #3, is based out of Vancouver-Marpole...

SERVICEPERSONS are all full time, 4 nights a week... There are Nights, Afternoons & Days shifts ... Most, if not all, start out on nights... Something like 8pm til 5am or similar...

Training rate is $19.30 an hour, then $20.67 for 8 months, then $22.49 for 8 months, then $25.31 for 8 months, and finally top rate of $28.12 an hour... PLUS Benefits... & Bus Pass...

Some find working in the Service positions a great way to get into apprenticeships and become mechanics or other trades...

I have 5 years of experience in customer service and 10 years class 5. Do I need to have any professional driving experience in order to apply for conventional transit operator?
